Psalm 20.7

Some boast in chariots and some in horses,
But we will boast in the name of the Lord, our God.

New Floors

As I am typing there are 5 guys working on placing new tile in our house. It is very interesting to watch. These guys know what they are doing. It is always awesome to watch people who are good at what they do. If I was attempting the job they are doing I would fail. Sometimes it is good to pay a little extra to let professionals do what they do so well.

My Wife

She is the greatest gift God has ever given me. (I don't know if she can say the same about me.) She puts up with my CSPAN and computer games. She puts up with my moments of "inspiration" when I declare what I am going to do whenever I "grow up". (I can only imagine what she was thinking the day I declared I was going to be a fireman.) She quietly stands beside me through all my career changes. She smiles and says "I love you" at just the right moments. Guys, my prayer for you is that you can be so lucky to find such a great woman. Some day whenever I write the "Great American Novel", I will dedicate that book to her. Until then I dedicate this blog to her now. I have just two words for you, Emily. "Alligator food." :-)

Tests

At age 33 I thought my days of testing were over. Today I took another test. I took the GRE (Graduate Record Exam). If I do well on this test I can go to college again and get my Master's Degree. Yipppeeee! I have taken more tests since I have graduated from high school. I took tests in college. After college I had to take several tests to be a teacher. Then when I got into coaching I had to take several tests to drive a school bus. Then I took another test to get certified to teach PE. Wow! Then today I took the GRE. So are my testing days over? NO WAY! If I go for my Master's Degree I will have to test so more. Then if I want to be a principal I will have to pass that test as well. Is that the end of it? I sure hope so! Oh. Wait. I will have to take another test if I want to be a Superintendent. Gee Whiz!

Psalm 37.4

Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.

Matthew 6.33

But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
